Ann Duff & Phil Duff are Priceless Pictures professional photography of Georgetown, Texas.
Ann received a 35mm film camera as a Christmas present from our children some years ago. She began taking photographs of our grandsons and soon realized she had a passion for photography. She also realized that formal education in the photographic arts was needed. So she enrolled in Austin Community College's excellent college credit photographic technology program.
Ann enrolled at ACC during the period when professional photography was beginning the transition between film and digital imaging. ACC's photography curriculum at that time began with a fundamental black & white film photography course that included darkroom work.
Ann loved it - shooting film and then working in the darkroom developing her film, making contact sheets, dodging and burning prints, and using lots of photographic paper in her quest for the perfect image.
Phil has had a 35mm camera for about as long as he can remember. The camera was used for personal photography without much thought given to pursuing photography seriously.
During the time Ann was enrolled in her early ACC photography classes Phil began reading her course syllabus and notes. This eventually resulted in Phil also joining the ACC photography program for a formal photographic education.
We both pursued our photographic education at ACC with advanced courses covering both 35mm film and digital, medium and large format film cameras, digital darkroom (Photoshop), portraiture, retouching, and others.
Both had images accepted and awards won in ACC's Photo Dept. and local community print competitions.
These days the film cameras have been retired in favor of Canon digital SLR cameras and computers with Photoshop are our electronic darkroom.
We continue our photographic education by attendance at classes, workshops, seminars, and conventions that provide educational opportunities with some of the nations leading professional photographers.
Through continuing education we strive to be aware of the latest trends in professional photography to provide quality portraiture and personalized service for our clients.
We're members of Professional Photographers of American PPA, Texas Professional Photographers Association TPPA, and Austin Professional Photographers Association APPA.
